If it's a downloaded part, and to keep the part dimensions as the creator intended, a bit of sandpapering the insert would suffice. This way you don't have to reprint it again and the part may HAVE to stay the same dimension if, for example, it needs to match up with another object in the overall scheme.

The problem I am finding is that when I find a design and I want to take out the supports they designed into it I cant do that. For instance there is a baby yoda I wanted to print. I did one in a solid color and about half the print was supports.

I recently got an anycubic kobra 2 neo as my first ever printer and it prints out of the box with their settings on their slicer. Followed their suggested inputs for cura and am having trouble even getting bed adhesion. I suppose I need to make all their values closer? They default settings and temps they suggest aren’t the same for both slicers 😅 I need help lmao

So i was thinking to get a resin printer but i don't have a seperate room to put it. now my question is i saw videos where people put them in grow tents with a little heater so it stays a certain temperature and a ventilator that pull the fumes out through a pipe out of the window, is that safe enough or not?

With such a powerful moustache and round glasses combo I'm accepting all the advice given here! I'm pretty new to 3D printing ( I've had my printer a couple of years but don't use it very much) I'm also learning 3D cad as the printer was bought for making replacement obsolete plastic parts for repairs of mainly electronic items. I'm at a stage where "IF" it prints without something going wrong then it's a good print. However Some prints look sharp and smooth with virtually no layering where as others look like you could file your nails down on the sides of the print. I only came here because my ABS was a bit blobby (new roll and brand) Never heard of a temperature tower before. I did download cura when I got my printer (Flashforge Finder3) but it's not supported in cura so I use Flashforge's own slicer. It would be nice if it was possible to use Cura but again the Flashforge slicer works. But if anybody know how to use Cura with a Finder3 I'm all ears. I suppose it's not possible to generate the tower in Cura and Export it in a format that the Flashforge slicer can import?(didn't think so) Yes I know the Flashforge Finder 3 isn't a real printer, isn't upgradeable and all that And I could have got an Ender3 cheaper and upgraded it. I just wanted something that worked out of the box without it turning into another hobby. That Said the Finder3 does print ( or at least can print) very well when everything is setup. But that's the problem, as a novice Having the choice of temperatures, extrude rates, retract rates, print speed , travel speed, fuzzy shells, ironing, rafts, support styles, and a million an one other options you'll never actually understand what they do! Getting a perfect print isn't always expected getting one is a bonus. i'd like to have less disappointing prints

In machining you have what is known as a clearance fit. If you make a hole the exact same size as the dowel pin, thry will not fit. They make dowelpin reamers to ease up on the hole a little. And if this is a blind hole, not a thru hole, it still wont fit unless you have a way for air to escape. You can get tight metal to fit by freezing the pin, or heating up the hole side.

Hello, Newbie here! Recently made the move from an Ender to the Bambu A1 Combo..Love it but going from prusaslicer to bambu studio has been a bit challenging. Your videos have helped me immensely with the initial start up but I've run into a little snag and was hoping you could guide me in the right direction. When trying to print a project last night I ran into an error saying "error 20 non-manifold edges". When using Prusaslicer all errors are fixed for you but I'm on a Macbook and the "fix" option is only supported on Windows based comps when using Bambu studio. Is there a work around for these situations or am I SOL?
